size for us. We were right on the beach. A great place for anyone just wanting

"We came upon The Driftwood Lodge by accident while scanning the
internet for other motels and hotels on the beach. By far, Driftwood was the
most affordable and had the most positive feedback of any other site we
visited, and so we booked a 3 day stay with the Gilmore family in March of
2008.
We were not disappointed!! The Driftwood Lodge was everything it promised to
be. We stayed in one of the cabana rooms and were very pleased by the
condition of our room and the friendliness of the staff when we had a
question. The staff, as well as the other guests, were extremely pleasant and
indeed we felt like part of the family while there.
We would recommend The Driftwood Lodge to all of our friends and family!!" |

"I was wondering if there was going to be a special for Labor Day - that weekend has become a tradition with my family. We started coming when I was little, as I got older we still came as a family. My mother's last summer there was 2002. She was sick from cancer but still made the trip in 2002 with the family. Since then we have came back every year. It is like you all are family. I hope that you contuine with the specials on Labor Day. Please don't sell out to the condos." |

"For 35 years, my wonderful handicapped son and I have enjoyed the Emerald Coast at least four times a year. In October, I wrote a letter complaining about the lack of consideration for handicapped people such as we found a larger seaside resort in Panama City Beach. We were horrified by their lack of concern for the comfort and safety of individuals with special needs.
We came back to the beach on Dec. 21 and stayed at the Driftwood Inn, which we have frequented many times and where we were treated like home folks with a wonderful holiday party.
The older inn is handicapped accessible with hold bars in the bathroom and the owners are very personable and willing to go any length to make their guests happy...unlike the managers of the larger resort farther west on the beach.
We wish the owners and workers of the Driftwood Inn the happiest of new years, and hope they hold their own and do not sell out to the condo builders who have changed the face of beaches - and not for the better."
